Mad Hatter 2.0 haven't set out to reinvent the wheel. What we have set out to do is write music that we - and with any luck, others - enjoy. If it grooves, if it sticks in your head, if it makes you want to bounce...job done.

IT IS NOT ABOUT:
-How many breakdowns we can have
-How many notes we can fit in
-How many people die in the pit

IT IS ABOUT:
-How much groovy-sauce can be added
-How long a person can bounce for before requiring surgery
-How many badgers we can fist before our arms cramp up

In the short space of just over a year, a relentless gigging schedule has seen us propelled from local shows to the national circuit, drawing praise from critics for our seamless transition to the bigger stage and a truly high-octane live show.

And when we claim that we put 'energy' into our performances, we don't mean that our front man moves a bit while the rest of us shuffle around, staring moodily at our instruments. We all aim to be a study in constant motion; Marc (Piglet) chases audience members, Hayden (The Viscount) busts (crap) dance moves, and the less said about Kurt (Fidget) with his nakedness and stick launching, the better.

If you hadn't already guessed, we try not to take ourselves too seriously; in an image-conscious world where it seems you have to play mincing fringe-rock or guttural, 'my-band-is-heaviest' ethnic-cleansing-core, we will continue to defiantly do things our way.

Our first 12 months have seen us have to get the Perseverance EP re-pressed more times than we can remember, have the aforementioned EP receive worldwide airplay, almost die on the M5 (mostly due to high readings on the Feltz scale), play to packed national venues, play to empty pubs, turn down countless 'deals' from time-wasters, come to consider £5 for half a sandwich and a Twix 'a pretty good deal', win Biker FM's 'Outstanding Contribution to Music' Award, ingest enough narcotics to fuel a South American economy for a lifetime, and travel for ten hours to play a 20 minute set...and we've loved every minute of it!!!
